About Us

Theatre at The Milk Building was born in 1990 as a community theater group called Cool Beans Productions in Carmel, Indiana.  Annual summer productions throughout the 90s in various rented auditoriums established the group's unique, high-action style of comedy and murder-mystery mayhem.  Cool Beans settled into what it hoped would be a permanent home at the Union Street Theater in Westfield, Indiana in 2000 but the theater's inaugural production of "What the Rabbi Saw" was cut short due to a fire.  Now the group is reborn in the Theatre at The Milk Building, a much larger and less flammable facility!

In our third season (2005) at the new building, five of the original "Rabbi" cast members (tempting fate) came together with seven newcomers to give it another try. Happily, we again produced (and concluded) a successful run of "What the Rabbi Saw" -- without the fire, proving that our luck had indeed returned!
