Two brothers, one seeking fame and the other refuge from the bread lines of the great depression, land jobs as extras in the D.W. Dewitt production of "Exeunt Omnes!" (Everybody Out), the largest motion picture ever filmed. Starting as slaves, the brothers fight their way through the filming of the greatest story every told to emerge as the star and the director. But will their rivalry for the beautiful assistant director tear the production apart, destroy their friendship and derail the biggest movie every made?!
